Dior: Aeroplane

Dior Resort 2013 campaign image is showing the French actress, Marion Cottilard, having a fun moment at a white sand beach with clear light blue sky. She looks so calm and relax running around on the sea shore while carrying the iconic Lady Dior bag. Up above the sky, there is an old aeroplane flying an it comes in light robin egg green colored. This image is now translated into an arrangement of the window display. Sadly, the fun and playful look of the campaign image disappears since there is no mannequins standing inside the window (this boutique does not carry the ready-to-wear collection). The display look silent and blank only the hanging aeroplanes in green and red colors that are lively enough to create attention.

Hermes: Hour glass

Hermes Indonesia applies this year's annual theme of time literally in its latest window display. There are hour glass with colored sands inside them. The hour glasses have two shapes that are the famous shape and the square boxes. Sadly, they look so ordinary and nothing special especially for the ready-to-wear collection window.

Rococo: Manhattan

I took this display photos last week's Thursday when the hurricane Sandy was still on her way to the city of Manhattan. What I am now observing on CNN, internet pictures, and Instagrams of some New Yorkers are pictures of a ghost city where no people on the street compared to this black and white picture that is used for the background of Rococo latest window display. It is one of the famous building and street corner of the city that is always busy and bustling. About the display itself, it is arranged to display the latest neon colored sneakers from Cole Haan, an accessories brand that is based in New York.

L'Occitane: Production process

Amidst the gloomy color of fall/winter window display, L'Occitange has the brightest and summery appearance with a giant bright-yellow-light-and-dark-blur colored poster of its new Immortelle Precious Serum product. Below the poster, there are five laboratory cup or glasses that are used to make and gather the concentrate of immortelle flowers into the serum bottles. There are also two bundles of the bright yellow flowers in front of them that make the window looks so beautiful.

The Goods Dept: Black

Another dark mood window display is found at the recent arrangement of The Goods Dept. Black dresses, black shirt-dress with black slip dress inside, black suit, black shoes, black reindeer, and the black wordings are the main dominant sighting when you look at this window display. On the wall, there are two sentences of 'Let's do the time wrap again' that is confusing me for the meaning and the connection with the display. Another confusing matter is about the broken horn of the reindeer, is it purposely broken or not? Simple display but sophisticated and mysterious.

Stradivarius: Gloomy winter

Winter inside Stradivarius window display at Senayan City, Jakarta, is a gloomy one. All mannequins wearing dark colored jackets, jeans, and even their hairs are all black. Knitted scarves and shawls become the main accessories on the neck. The hair plus the black make up under the eye for the right wing window add more darker mood.

Celine: LBD

LBD is the abbreviation of little black dress, a very simple outfit consists of black materials made into a dress. It is very functional yet economic since it can be matched with accessories or jewelries or plus other oufits like bolero or vest if you want to appear different each time. Celine boutique at Plaza Senayan, Jakarta, is displaying two LBDs that are showstopper and very standout. The first is decorated with metallic zippers that are very obvious. The other LBD has a wide leather belt that might look like an obi. Georgeous!

Louis Vuitton: Polkadot world of Yayoi Kusama

While the other countries has been getting the fever of Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama collection, Indonesia is once again having the late problem of the collection arrival. Yes, the dotted-tentacles and the flower-with-eye displays had been installed for two months but the complete collection is now just arrived on store. Thus, those dotted on classic monogram collection of wallets, shoes, and bags are now fully displayed. It's always better late than never.

Kate Spade: Cross word

A giant cross word becomes the background for the two mannequins at Kate Spade window display. This property is very simple compared to other props and decors this brand ever used in the window display. However, it still looks extraordinary and creative.

Michael Kors: Welcome to Jakarta!

After a long time waiting, now Indonesian, especially Jakarta, ladies who adore Michael Kors can buy this brand's products without flying to Singapore or other countries. This senior American designer's boutique is recently opened at Plaza Senayan, Jakarta and carries the complete collection of ready-to-wear and accessories for women, men collection only on sunglasses products. The display of this luxury brand is a very straight to the point commercial without any elaborate decoration or arrangements.

Alfred Dunhill: Intellectual display

Alfred Dunhill has a very excellent blazer collection that is called Camdeboo. It is made of Angora goats of Camdeboo that live under the Shepherd Tree in South Africa. To promote this collection, this brand does not put the blazer at the window display. Instead, there is 12 panels that each depicts the live of the Angora goats under the trees. To see the complete picture you need to look at this display from left to right. The first panel of the left is an empty grassy field with a Shepherd Tree stands tall in the middle. Then suddenly there is a group of goats walking towards it and gather under it. The story of this blazer and its material source is also can be found at a writing below those panels. This is an intellectual way to display a product yet, of course, you also need to have intellectual customers too.

New Look: Red bricks wall

New Look window display is like an unfinished house. The walls are made of red bricks and some of them are still on the finishing process. There are some wooden stepladders standing in the middle of those walls. Those ladders are used to display the shoes collection that although has a very reasonable price, they look fabulous.
