River Island: Accessories display

TopShop may become the most famous high street or fast fashion label from England, but actually there is an older label that has the similar concept. This label is River Island that was founded on 1948. It has a store in Singapore that is at ION Orchard. The window display is nice and lively arranged especially the accessories arrangement. Sadly, there are almost no visitor insight when I visited this store.

New Look: Uniform

When I went to Singapore last May, New Look was holding a sale promotion. This British high street brand's store at 313@Sommerset was displayed with a unique yet simple concept. All the mannequins inside the window display were wearing the same clothing and accessories plus a name tag with 'SALE' written card inside. They looked like the New Look staffs that were ready to serve the sale-hunter-maniacs.

TopMan: Excellent styling

Actually there are no differences I found when I saw the TopMan window display at ION Orchard compared to the TopMan in Jakarta. The mannequins are standing and sitting while a cubical cage drop to their bodies. However, I found those mannequins are styled in the most interesting choices of clothing and particularly, accessories. Observing this display is like reading a man magazine.

TopShop: Accessories

There is a part TopShop window display at IO Orchard that focuses on accessories collection. The properties are so simple with long hands and mannequin heads. However, the way those bags, purses, headpieces, or hat displayed are so interesting and create a good and balance arrangement

Solange Azagury-Patridge: Pomp and circumstances

Just like fragrance, people will turn to French or America when it turns to big big diamonds jewelries. However, England has some of the world's famous jewelers but most of them are discreet and not aggressive in marketing strategy. The example is Solange Azagury-Patridge that always create unusual jewelries made from world's most precious materials. She has one boutique in Singapore that is at Ngee Ann City. The boutique is very minimalistic at the exterior with black and red are the dominant color. Each window display is decorated with jewelry display box in red color complete with pomp and circumstances decorations of feathers and velvet.

Church's: Spectator

London might be identical with the world's men best suit from Saville Row. However, this city also has a very high quality shoes brand that is Churhc's. This brand already opened one boutique at ION Orchard, Singapore, to broaden its customer. The display is very simple with a mannequins wearing trench coats, England national flag, and Church's shoe boxes and colorful spectator shoes. Pay attention at those spectator shoes that may look so classic yet so modern and also some are eccentric.

Scents of London

Only few people know that London has some of the best fragrance houses in the world. Jo Malone and Penhaligon's is the two best know British fragrance brands. Me personally love this two brands and so happy that they already opened their stores in Singapore that is so near to Jakarta.

Penhaligon's that is so legendary and so British has a very beautiful burgundy colored shop at ION Orchard. Penhaligon's window display looks so classic, beautiful, and of course so British. Festive and colorful papers with some of the Penhaligon's best fragrance, artificial flowers, and some colorful bottle images are everywhere inside the glass window. The Penhaligon's eau de toilette, cologne, and othere products are displayed completely to add the riot. 

Jo Malone, in comparison, is like heaven and earth with Penhaligon's. This fragrance house has a small simple minimalistic shop at Ngee Ann City. Black and white is the dominant color while the window display is only elaborated with flowery poster of a Jo Malone fragrance image.

Accessorize: Summer festival a la Britannia

Summer celebration a la Britania perhaps is not as popular as those of tropical beach style. However, British summer festival is actually so fun and attractive. Since this country has no sunny beach destinations, people will go to the park or gardens or fields to hold summer festival activities such as rock music concert. This celebration is depicted excellently and attractively at the Accesorize window display in Singapore. Colorful flags are hung in the ceiling mixed up with some hats, accessories, and even bikinis. Other stuffs are displayed with very cute properties such as ice cream miniature or bag served on top of tart table.
