Hermes: Under the tree

The mannequins at Hermes Scotts Square, Singapore, are relaxing under the tree. The woman mannequin sits under a tree that has thick leaves on it. While the men one, stand under a tree that already looses all its leaves. Those arrangements may indicates the change of season. Summer when all the leaves are growing and the fall when the leaves are leaving its twigs.

Hermes: Dried twigs

Hermes at Ngee Ann City uses dried twigs as the main theme for its window display. They are used to become the background of the mannequin, to display a hand bag, and even to display belt or other small jewelries. The result is a very natural looking window display yet also very beautiful as always.

Here are the photos of the most interesting accessories and jewelries that are not available in Jakarta or in your city. From the uber luxurious Serpenti diamond watch from Bulgari, Hermes all leather bags, until the playful Marc by Marc Jacobs bag, these stuffs will spoil your eyes and make your mouth waters. Enjoy !

Missoni: Old glory days

Renovation need was the first thing on my mind when I saw the Missoni boutique at The Shopping Gallery of Hilton Singapore. The boutique has a somber gold colors that look like an old boutique. The window display also has this same type of atmosphere. Gone were the bright colorful image of Missoni stripes and print motifs on my mind. Hope it was not my wrong perception of how should Missoni boutique looks like.

Dries van Notten: A piece of art

Looking a Dries van Notten window display is like observing a piece of art, a modern one of course. From the mannequin shape, the properties, and of course the outfits displayed, everything is beautiful. Unfortunately I could not photographed the other side of the window.

Undefined installations

 Ermenegildo Zegna - ION Orchard

 Bulgari - Paragon Shopping Centre

Both Ermenegildo Zegna and Bulgari window displays are decorated with installations that until now I still don't understand or catch the meaning. At Zegna, there is a halo-like formation of wooden sticks in white color behind the mannequins. While, Bulgari placed two circular installations in each window. This circular thing might look like a lamp or perhaps a fan.

Marc by Marc Jacobs: A missing word

Marc by Marc Jacobs boutique at Terminal 1 of Changi International Airport, Singapore, has an open concept where passengers can easily enter the store without pull or push the door. The window display is almost not exists except for a box filled with pink-colored neon letters. The letters consists all the characters needed to write the MARC JACOBS name. If only it is added with one 'Y' neon letter then this box is a complete letter play to write MARC BY MARC JACOBS.

G-Star: Construction

G-Star window display is equipped with construction tools that in this case works for denim pants. The tools are so simple with three wooden constructions hold the pants, and shirts.

Warehouse: Child drawing

A yellow building, pink cloud, and green tree become a beautiful background for Warehouse window display. The drawing style of the images is like what children will do, but of course in more smooth and sophisticated form.

D&G: Addio

Summer season is at its peak and the pre-fall season is coming closer too. Thus, it is the time to start bidding farewell to D&G, the secondary label of Dolce & Gabbana intended to youngsters. The duo Italian designers decided to end up this line and focus on their premium first label. The last boutique of D&G that I saw is at Mandarin Gallery, Singapore. It occupies a large portion and consists of two floors. At that time I visited it, the window display look blank. There are no mannequins in sight. Some D&G collections from the past seasons are only laid on the ground.

Maubossin: The falling feathers

Dramatic and romantic are two words I can say upon looking at Maubossin window display. There are falling white feathers from above the ceiling to the ground. Of course, they are not falling all the time but are attached at the burgundy colored curtain. The luxurious Maubossin collections of jewelries, watches, and others are placed at a soft pink show cases that look like a big jewelry box.

 Agatha - Mandarin Gallery

Toys ans miniatures are properties that are very often be explored and used to decorate window display. Agatha, for example, use the miniatures of Ganesha statues in variant of colors and sizes to display its Indian inspired collection. While at Robinsons, cute bear, penguin, and many others cute animals playing the chess to spend their leisure times. Interesting.
