What are the things that always identical and linked with Christmas celebrations? The answer might be Christmas tree, colorful gift boxes, and the white snows. These things can be found instantly in the Debenhams window displays at Senayan City, Jakarta. They look so festive compared to other boutiques that already decorated with Christmas theme but I am confused with the concept. The example is the snow properties that are everywhere even in the scene of a dining table. In reality it would be very impossible to have a lunch or dinner outdoor in the snowy day.

Stradivarius: Gloomy winter
Winter inside Stradivarius window display at Senayan City, Jakarta, is a gloomy one. All mannequins wearing dark colored jackets, jeans, and even their hairs are all black. Knitted scarves and shawls become the main accessories on the neck. The hair plus the black make up under the eye for the right wing window add more darker mood.

Faux Furs
Stradivarius - Senayan City
Pull and Bear - Grand Indonesia
Back to nature or green living and many other environment-love activities are now emerging in all aspects of design industry, from interior and even fashion. One of the most hottest issue is about the use of animal skin and furs that has been creating many radical protest activities from PETA or other green organization. To overcome this problem, and also to reach broader customer, there is a solution about this 'hairy issue' that is the invention of the faux fur. It looks so real but of course almost impossible to have the same quality with the real one. This human-made fur has been being well-welcomed and embraced even buy some high-fashion brands such as Chanel for its Fall/Winter 2010 icy collection. Well, I do not want to talk about high-fashion now, but just want to show the example of fabulous collection done with the faux furs material from two high street brands Pull and Bear and Stradivarius. Enjoy.

Banana Republic: Office library
Banana Republic is a brand that synonymous with work wear alias office outfits. For Fall 2012 season, office scene becomes the main subject both for the advertisement images and also for the window display. Check out this Banana Republic store at Senayan City. Its spacious window display is already turned into an busy office library with stacks of grey-covered books scattered everywhere. There is also a window pane with Empire State building and its sky-crappers neighborhood around it that make the display looks more real like an office inside a tall building.
Massimo Dutti: A lady in adventure
Looking at the properties and styling of Massimo Dutti store at Senayan City is like looking back to the old glory days of adventurer. One female mannequin looks like a World War bomber with a pilot hat in her head, long coat, plus a boot. Behind her, there is an old vintage early-days camera that is also used to display the scarf collection in other section of the window. Another lady mannequin is laying so relax, she looks like a sailor or perhaps also adventurer.

Superdry: Classroom ?
The latest window display of Superdry at Senayan City is a very confusing one. There are blackboard and other little boards, wooden chairs, and mannequins wearing a blazer or jacket or sweatshirt that might suggested a condition in a school class room or campus. However, there are also old useless cans of lubricants or gasoline that look so dirty. Thus, is it a classroom or a room for the mechanic? Confused.

Denim Destination: Bakery shop ?
Denim Destination, a division of Debenhams at Senayan City, is a multi-brands store that sells premium jeans as well as high-end street style brands such as True Religion, Seven for All Man Kind, Cheap Monday, and many others. Point out at young-at-heart market, the window display of this store has different concept with the Debenhams'. A bakery shop concept is used at the latest window display arrangement for the new season. You can see daily breakfast breads in almost every corner at this display. The mannequins look so carefree and pose in free motions and actions, also location. In the end, it will make a confusion about the real concept of this display. Is it a bakery shop or just a wild morning party in a picnic situation (many checked napkin clothes) or what??
