Emporio Armani - Plaza Indonesia

Tod's - Plaza Indonesia

Zara - Senayan City

Tamu McPherson is a famous street-style blogger. On her blog she states a quote about huma and fashion trends as follows: Humans express their personalities through fashion. There are those who go along with the grain and those whose roots grow outside the field. Wherever we fall on the fashion spectrum, we are all beautiful creatures. We are all pretty birds.

Here are the window displays with the classic items for those whose roots grow outside the field. Those who adore classic and everlasting items.

Jean Paul Gaultier: Out of the box wedding idea

A new idea of wedding gown and groom's suit is once again displayed at the Jean Paul Gaultier boutique in Plaza Indonesia. This time the bride is wearing a long corseted Grecian-style dress. While the groom is wearing a white silky shirt with unique button place and a bow tie. Between them is placed a Teddy Bear in the L'Enfant terrible style. This can be a unique and out of the box wedding costume.

The Goods Dept.: Out of the box

The Goods Dept. is a multi brands store or can be called 'market' that is selling indie clothing brands and accessories, also some designer products like sculptures, toys, and a cafe inside. This local store has a different window display concept compared to other high-end international boutiques in Plaza Indonesia where it is located. For the clothing display, the VM team is installing three old school torso mannequins and some colorful wires to decorate. While the other display is filled with TV EYE toy figures to promote the exhibition of this brand. Interesting !

Superdry: T-shrit stall and photo frames

Superdry window display is already transformed into new arrangement. Gone are the old deserted serviced station, instead there is a T-shirt wooden stall and a wall full with photo frames. I still like the old display though.

TopMan: Caged

The black colored mannequins at the TopMan window display are caged with colorful cubic shape metal.

Spring/Summer 2012 Trend: Bold & bright accessories

Zara, Grand Indonesia

Tod's - Plaza Indonesia

Bulgari - Pacific Place

Longchamp - Plaza Senayan

All fashion magazines have been telling you that if you don't dare to wear the brightest color outfits, then just wear the bold color accessories while stay faithful to your dark or natural favorite colors.

Initial and Logo

Louis Vuitton - Plaza Indonesia

Chanel - Grand Indonesia

Fendi, Plaza Indonesia

Emporio Armani - Plaza Indonesia

For some people, buying fancy fashion stuffs means to expose their wealth and ability to afford luxury products to the public. Thus, they, especially Asian people, love logo or big initial letters of those brands on bag, shoes, or other parts of the products. Some logos are so big and striking, but some also are subtle

More colorful window displays

Roberto Cavalli - Plaza Senayan

Kenzo, Plaza Indonesia

TopShop - Senayan City (top) & Central Park (below)

Gap Kids, Pacific Place

With this season's bright colors, many boutiques and stores use colorful properties in their window displays.

Gap Kids: Diane von Furstenberg for Gap Kids

Diane von Furstenberg, one of the legendary American fashion designers, is collaborated with Gap to make special collection for the Gap Kids line. This collaboration is celebrated to a special Gap Kids window display that looks more playful and colorful than usual. The DvF famous graphic and patterns are there on the display. Also there are some cut-out images of cute girls in the Diane von Furstenberg for Gap Kids dresses and tops. Thanks God, she didn't create those fabulous wrap dress for children, or I hope not, unless your girls will look so old.

Tommy Hilfiger: Camping ground

This Spring/Summer 2012, Tommy Hilfiger takes us to the bright outdoor camping ground, of course in his preppiest American style. The wall of the window display is painted with bright orange color. There are some sets of paddles, camping ground directory signs, old-school oil lamp, and of course the giant image of the Hilfigers (a set of georgeous models young and old, dressed in the Tommy Hilfiger's latest collection). Let's get adventurous !

Hermes: Day and night

I love Hermes window displays because they are so attractive, creative, beautiful, and something use unexpected inspirations. Outside Indonesia, each Hermes store has different window display with others. Unfortunately, that does not happen here in Jakarta, where Hermes has two boutiques. The two boutiques have the same display concept and properties that is the day and night times represented by the sun and the moon. The VM staffs only switch the role of night and day from the two mannequins. Also, the accessories arrangement are so simple that is lay down those fabulous Hermes ties, bangles, etc on the ground. Hope they will be more creative in the future.

Gucci: The golden era

Gold color is very dominant in the latest Gucci window display. The art deco motifs and styles that become the main inspiration for the Spring/Summer 2012 are there at the display. Very luxurious looking yet stand out among all the neon or pastel color displays, in other words: Very Gucci.
