Mango: New Collection

Mango is the first fast-fashion retail store that landed in Indonesia and is still gaining success story. There are more than 10 Mango stores throughout Indonesia. These photos are come from Mango in Central Park, West Jakarta. Its fast and high-ceiling window display is already installed with the latest display concept. New Collection is the main theme and the mannequins are wearing black and white outfits that look somber. The most interesting part is the arrangement of many kinds of accessories, paper bags, and boxes on the floor.

Mango: New props

I used to like to photograph Mango window displays in Jakarta because they have excellent arrangements, styling, properties, and other aspects. However, it has been a long time I do not make any review of this brand since I find that their window displays remain the same and get boring this two seasons. However, I found a new properties that are different from what I always see in Jakarta at the Mango store at Marina Square, Singapore. There are a very humble and simple wooden cupboard, a little beige sofa chair, and a coat hanger. This might look like a furniture store but the way they are arranged look so messy as if the mannequins are posing inside a werehouse or a deserted house.

Last weekend I found many boutiques and fashion stores in Jakarta had updated their window displays with Christmas themed. Many aspects of Christmas icons are explored, from Christmas decorations, colorful neons, star, snow flake, reindeer, bells, balls, etc. So beautiful and cheerful.

Toward the end of this Fall/Winter 2011 season, many boutique and fashion stores update their window displays with home decoration style as if they are selling clothes and furniture also. Some stores blends the furniture with the fashion stuffs or images, but some other show the furniture in a very architectural way. Window display always display the best of the new arrival items. Those products usually belong to the trendy one, go along with the fashion trend. However, some brands always or sometimes carry the classic (but also trendy) items on the display. You can rely on the big name like Hermes or Dior for them, but also Mango or other street label for the affordable one.
