Hermes: Hour glass

The first posting about Singapore window displays will be started with my favorite brand ever, Hermes. There are five Hermes stores and two Hermes watch boutiques now available in Singapore and each of them has different window display styling. However, all of these displays has the same red line that is The Gift of Time, the Hermes annual theme for 2012.

The Hermes window at Ngee Ann City is the most interesting one. There are hour glass both traditional and digital one. The traditional hour glass are not lively enough because the sands inside cannot move. But the digital one is so interesting because there are digital videos playing on and on the images of sands goes up and down to form the essence of the hour glass.

The conclusion of my last weekend's Singapore trip is that Singapore is the little world of luxury shopping. Almost all brands ever existed in the fashion industry are available in every mega mall, air port duty free stores, or in the discreet world of Hilton Shopping Gallery. From the mega luxury brands like Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, or Prada, the hippest American brands like Michael Kors and the hot Alexander Wang, to the bling bling world of diamonds from Harry Winston, Tiffany & Co., or Chopard, you can get anything that you want according to the budget you have coz there are also mega fast-fashion H&M and Zara or TopShop for youngsters. Today, I will start to post about Singapore window displays but so confused where to start. Enjoy my posts readers.

Back to Jakarta from Singapore

Last weekend, I had an escape trip to Johor Bahru and Singapore. There are a lot of great window displays from every international luxury brands that are so much interesting. Hope can finish to post it and share with all my visitors here for positive reason.

Christian Louboutin: Interesting accessories

Christian Louboutin is the hottest accessories brand for these years. His shoes and bags collection are always excellent, trendy, unique, and collectible items. Here are some of may favorite Spring/Summer 2012 shoes and bags collections that ever displayed on Christian Louboutin boutiques.

Metro: A beautiful garden in summer

The Metro Dept. Store window display for Spring/Summer 2012 use fairy tale magical garden as the main inspiration and concept. I had already photographed and posted some of the display from various Metro locations. For me, the best execution of this concept is at Metro Dept. Store in Pacific Place. The mannequins styling, the properties, the lighting look so exclusive and has luxe feeling. Perfect !

Gap: Active kids

Children or kids window displays are medicine when I feel boring with fashion window display for adults because this kind of display is usually very colorful and playful. The example is the Gap Kids window display at Pacific Place. Although the background wall is so simple with image of a colorful wooden door and the contract color wall, the mannequins pose are so lively. The mannequins look like a group of active kids who are playing their interests in sport, games, or even modelling pose. Excellent.

Zara: The pose

This male mannequin at Zara window display from Plaza Senayan is the most striking and has the best pose compared to other Zara stores in Jakarta. The way the mannequin sits, stares, and the styling are so excellent. Plus, the cut circle lamp near his seat makes him looks like sitting on the moon.

Papilion Duo: White dressing room

An all white dressing room is installed at the Papilion Duo window display. This very detail room is very beautiful, cozy, and so feminine. A table under the soft-floral-curtained window pane with blue sky outside is filled with a fashion magazine, a Dyptique candle, a tea set, and other stuffs. On the wall, there are collections of beautiful vintage photo frames and other feminine decorations. A pair of Repetto ballet flats, a gold colored Comme des Garcons Play T-shirt, a white jacket and a bag are signs that this room belongs to a chic style young girl.

One critic for the VM team is the use of a flat screen monitors that are not well set up. Thus, there will be some period when one or two of the window pane blocks turns into black and the 'DVD' icon appears.

Bebe: Hot summer in the sea

Glistening blue water are filling all parts of Bebe window display. But don't worry as they are only perfectly lively images of water stick on the ground. This concept are arrangement are so excellent and perfect for the summer season. Also, the Bebe window display looks more attractive compare to last seasons display which is so ordinary and boring for me.

Guess: Happy 30th Anniversary

Guess window display at Plaza Senayan is dominated with the black and white photographs of Claudia Schiffer in various sizes. This 90s supermodels is back for the special campaign image of Guess that is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year.

Frank and Co.: Happy 16th Anniversary

This year 2012, Frank & Co. is celebrating its 16th anniversary. There are giant gift boxes in each window display of this local jeweler store. All boxes come burgundy color, the Franck & Co. signature color with white silky ribbon beautifully tied them. Beautiful and luxurious looking at the same time.

Aigner: The latest boutique in Jakarta

Aigner is the oldest and perhaps the first luxury brand that entered the luxury retail fashion in Jakarta back in the 90s. Since then, this Germany-based brand already opened (and closed) its boutiques in Jakarta as well as Bandung and Makassar. The latest addition of Aigner boutique is at Central Park Mall, West Jakarta. With new exterior concept, this boutique is a great welcome for the mall visitor. I love the light box with a male model standing in front of an old-luxury car. On the window display there is a bag cabinet that may look like a chest board.
