Chanel: Paris-Bombay

The update of Chanel window display is one that I always wait every 3 months. The latest one is the Chanel pre-Fall 2012 or Metiers d'Art Paris- Bombay collection window display. There are grey walls and pillars also 'caramelized' mirrors that look like they already been built centuries ago. In the center of the main window, a table full with Chanel bags and accessories also jewelries, spread out like they are foods and cakes for the maharaja. The mannequins are wearing the Chanel classic suits as well as dresses with hair styles that capture the show moment. This display is so vivid and rich in detail. Splendid and marvellous.

Diane von Furstenberg: Giant puzzle

Diane von Furstenberg at Plaza Senayan had moved to a new, more spacious location last two months. However, the window display quality was decreasing. There were only mannequins standing in the window without any decorations or properties. Just last Sunday when I passed this boutique, I saw a little bit improvement. The VM team added properties in the form of giant orange colored puzzle. A simple background but very good to attract people.

Kate Spade: Marching-band girls

Kate Spade window display are changing almost in every two months. The latest display has an after parade situation where the street is so dirty with colorful paper confetti. There are also two girls from the marching band that are resting after tiring parade. Their outfits are already changed into normal hang out clothes, but their hats and the leader stick are still on.

Miuccia Prada is perhaps the most influential designer in the world of fashion. Her designs and creations are the key trend of the season. Designers will look at her and follow her style in the next seasons. Besides her family's heritage brand, Prada, she also created Miu Miu. This younger brand was, at first, the more affordable aspect of the brand, but now it has the same price level with its older sister. Here are some interesting and fabulous Prada and Miu Miu collections displayed in the period of May 14 - 15 in Singapore.

Missoni: Old glory days

Renovation need was the first thing on my mind when I saw the Missoni boutique at The Shopping Gallery of Hilton Singapore. The boutique has a somber gold colors that look like an old boutique. The window display also has this same type of atmosphere. Gone were the bright colorful image of Missoni stripes and print motifs on my mind. Hope it was not my wrong perception of how should Missoni boutique looks like.

Dries van Notten: A piece of art

Looking a Dries van Notten window display is like observing a piece of art, a modern one of course. From the mannequin shape, the properties, and of course the outfits displayed, everything is beautiful. Unfortunately I could not photographed the other side of the window.

Undefined installations

 Ermenegildo Zegna - ION Orchard

 Bulgari - Paragon Shopping Centre

Both Ermenegildo Zegna and Bulgari window displays are decorated with installations that until now I still don't understand or catch the meaning. At Zegna, there is a halo-like formation of wooden sticks in white color behind the mannequins. While, Bulgari placed two circular installations in each window. This circular thing might look like a lamp or perhaps a fan.
